課程概述 |
本課程在使同學對健康資訊科技的創新與應用有全面性的瞭解，課程內容涵蓋醫院主要的醫療資訊系統、電子病歷、智慧型裝置與雲端運算在健康照護上的應用、資訊科技在醫療品質與病人安全的應用、資訊科技在公共衛生的應用與未來的發展等。
The goal of this class is to provide students a comprehensive framework of major applications in Health information Technology and essential skills of managing them. Main topics include: Electronic Medical Record and standards for exchange, health Information System in Hospital setting, application of Health Informatics in healthcare quality and patient safety, HIT in Public Health, and the future of Health Informatics. |

本課程之學習目標為：
1.幫助同學熟悉健康資訊科技的功能與應用層面
2.瞭解醫院主要的醫療資訊系統
3.瞭解如何將資訊科技應用在品質提升、知識管理與決策支援
4.具備進行資訊科技投資評估與資訊系統建置規劃的基本能力
5.使同學能以國際視野前瞻醫療資訊的創新與發展
The learning objectives of this course are to:
1.Help students develop familiarity with major HIT functions and applications
2.Understand the Health Information Systems in hospital setting.
3.Understand how to apply HIT in healthcare quality improvement, knowledge management and decision support.
4.Have the ability to evaluate the investment in HIT and conduct System Planning.
5.Provide students a broad view on Innovation and the Future of Health Informatics with a Global perspective. |

4.個案討論：與最後一週參與分析與評論兩個哈佛個案研究

3.Written final report, which is focusing on a topic regarding health informatics, are required at the end of semester.
4.Case discussions: analyze and debate two Harvard Business School (HBS) cases |
